Adams Detailing — Auto & Marine
Restore. Enhance. Protect.

About Adams Detailing

Adams Detailing is a mobile auto and marine detailing business based in Cumming, GA — owned and personally operated by Peyton Adams, a local high school student who's built the business himself over the past two years. Every quote request, every job, and every question that comes in goes through Peyton directly, and in 2024 that work earned Adams Detailing the Hinton Youth Entrepreneurship Award.

If you’ve ever wondered who’s actually going to show up and detail your car or boat, the answer is simple: the person who answers your quote request is the person who does the job — a Forsyth County high schooler named Peyton Adams, with teammates Lane Nowlin and Hayden Harris helping get every job done right.

The Owner

Who Runs Adams Detailing?

“Every vehicle gets treated like my own.” That’s been the standard since day one, and it hasn’t changed as the business has grown. Peyton Adams built Adams Detailing around a simple idea: treat every car, truck, and boat the way you’d treat something you actually own and care about — not just something passing through a bay for an hour.

Peyton is a high school student from Forsyth County, and Adams Detailing isn’t a summer hobby — it’s a real business he’s built and run himself for the past two years, starting small and growing one quote and one job at a time into a full auto-and-marine operation with a small crew of his own. That growth got real recognition in 2024, when Adams Detailing won the Hinton Youth Entrepreneurship Award for standout youth-run businesses in the local area.

Two Specialties, One Standard

Why Both Auto and Marine?

Most detailers pick a lane — cars, or boats, rarely both done well. Adams Detailing does both because Peyton’s background covers both: the same paint-correction process that removes swirl marks and oxidation from a car’s clear coat works on a boat’s gelcoat, and growing up around Lake Lanier means marine work isn’t a side hustle bolted onto an auto business — it’s a real specialty with its own equipment, process, and attention.

Two-step paint correction removes 70–85% of visible defects on a clear coat or gelcoat surface; one-step removes 60–70%. The physics doesn’t change between a car hood and a boat hull, but the approach does — gelcoat, isinglass, and marine hardware all need different handling than automotive paint and trim, and that’s reflected in how each job is run. See Paint Correction and Boat & Marine Detailing for the full breakdown of each.

Automotive: clear coat swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation

Marine: gelcoat oxidation, isinglass clarity, hardware corrosion

Mobile Service

Why Mobile?

Adams Detailing comes to you — your driveway, your office, your marina slip, your storage lot — instead of asking you to drop a vehicle or boat off and wait. For a boat especially, “drop it off somewhere” often isn’t practical; it’s easier for us to come to the dock than for you to trailer a boat across town for a detail. Mobile service also means the work happens on your schedule, not a shop’s open-close hours.

Transparent Pricing

Why Do We Publish Real Prices?

Every local competitor we’ve looked at makes you call or fill out a form just to find out what something might cost. Adams Detailing publishes real starting prices for every package on the pricing page — because “call for a quote” is friction nobody needs, and because transparent pricing is part of treating customers the way we’d want to be treated. Custom jobs like paint correction, boat detailing, and fleet work are still quoted individually since size and condition genuinely change the number, but you’ll never hit a page that just says “contact us” with nothing else.

Reviews

What Customers Say

Adams Detailing’s reviews come from real jobs, not just cars — recent five-star Google reviews include a commercial fleet wash, a boat detail, an Audi, and a Tahoe, reflecting the same auto-and-marine range described above.
